PM Hasina asks police to take proper action against destructive acts

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today asked police officials to take proper action against any destructive activity to ensure uninterrupted economic progress in the country.
“(Stay alert) so that no one can interrupt our economic progress in the future and no one can dare to carry out arson or violence anymore and none could interrupt the overall security of the lives of the people,” she said.
The premier was addressing a meeting with high officials of Bangladesh Police, held at her office in Dhaka on the second day of the Police Week-2023.
Pointing towards BNP she said, “Yes, they can wage movement. It is ok. And they can be do it by taking people along with them. If any destructive activity is carried out there, everyone will have to take proper action against it,” she said.
She said police have played a significant role in the development of Bangladesh.
“If the law and order is maintained properly, the country will surely go further towards development and we will be able to reach our desired goals,” she said.
