Grameenphone users facing connectivity issues

Users of Grameenphone have been facing connectivity issues since 11 am Thursday in some areas of the country, including parts of the capital Dhaka.

Both calling and mobile internet functions have been reportedly down, according to users on social media.

According to an official statement by Grameenphone, the connectivity issues were caused by damages to fibre-optic cables used by the telecom company.

The Grameenphone Facebook page issued an apology on Thursday, 12:48 pm, addressing the concern and stating that they are quickly working to resolve the issue.
