Fire breaks out in Sitakunda cotton depot

A fire broke out in a cotton warehouse in Chhoto Kumira area of Chattogram’s Sitakunda around 10:30am this morning.

Five units of firefighters from Sitakunda and Kumira fire stations have reached the spot and are working to douse the flame, said fire service sources.

“The blaze is almost under control,” said Md Abdul Malek, assistant director of fire service, Chattogram.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be ascertained immediately.
