2 killed in Mymensingh road accident

Two people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Bhaluka upazila this morning.

The deceased have been identified as Abdus Sattar, 28, from Sadar upazila, and Sajjad Hossain, 29, from Madan upazila in Netrakona, police said.

Quoting locals, Md Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Police Station said Sattar and Sajjad were taking vegetables on a pick-up van to Dhaka.

The accident took place when their vehicle rammed into a parked truck at Bhoraduba area around 5:00am, killing the two on the spot, the OC added.
